An Act of Love

This morning I headed out with the kids to take Brooklyn to her soccer award’s ceremony. She was so cute and excited as she practically ran across the stage to get her award. We had a good time celebrating her accomplishment on a great season and then as we drove up to our house there was a great surprise waiting for us. My father-in-law had picked up 2 of my nephews–Caleb and Ryland–and came to our house to mow our lawn and clean out our garage. As I saw them my heart was completely filled with gratitude and love for them. I know my father-in-law had many other things that he needed to get done that day and I know that this is not something that teenagers enjoy doing, but they were all happily working because they love us. They had given up so much to make a difference in our lives. We all joined in and spent the next several hours cleaning out the garage. I don’t think that it has looked this good since we moved in. I love it! And then if that wasn’t enough, they loaded up in Troy’s car and headed over to his office and did the yard there as well. I am so blessed to have so many people that are always willing to help us out. It can be hard to admit that we need help at times, but I know that the Lord knows and He provides a way for us to get the help that we need. I don’t think any of them will know how grateful I am to them for being the Lord’s servants and serving our family. They are truly amazing! Thank you so much, Bruce, Caleb and Ryland!
